Solomon

I knew a staircase that led up to the sun.

And I’d go all the way up, but the heat did not faze me.

I’d sit Indian style on the edge of a cloud playin’ with my G.I. Joes,

Thinkin’ about a sidewalk Sunday. Along came a bird.

He perched upon my shoulder, Whispered in my ear.

“Today is a mighty fine day.” And I said, “yes sir I do agree.”

What is your name? And he said,

Solomon, It’s nice to meet you.

Solomon, Why don’t we play a game?

Solomon, Lets run away together.

Solomon

We’ll sing the songs of Solomon.

I remember this little boy, He used to play with me.

Until he had to move away.

I didn’t think I’d ever see that boy again until the other day.

He landed on my doorstep.

And I said “Randy! Won’t you come out and play.

We’ve got a lot of catching up to do wouldn’t you agree.”

He said, “ Yes sir, I do agree.  Who is your friend?”

Who him? Well, that’s…

Solomon. It’s nice to meet you.

Solomon. Why don’t we play a game?

Solomon. Lets run away together.

Solomon.

Do do do do…

Solomon. It’s nice to meet you.

Solomon. Why don’t we play a game?

Solomon. Lets run away together.

Solomon
